High school head fired for shirking
NELSPRUIT -- A Nelspruit high school principal was dismissed last week after it was discovered he had not been at work for more than three months while continuing to draw a salary.
Mpumalanga education department spokesman Peter Maminza said Geoffrey Madonsela was principal of Ncakini Secondary School.
He said the principal had cited ill health as a reason for his absenteeism, but the department did not believe him. -- Sapa
