MP Mgabhi dodges
cow dung meet

NGWEMPISI - Swaziland FEBRUARY 5-6, 2000

Embattled Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mgabhi Dlamini yesterday snubbed a meeting with his Inkhundla's Bucopho here yesterday where he was to brief them on his alleged theft of cow dung at Ludzidzini late last year.

He disclosed that Dlamini was expected to brief them on the cow dung saga. "Our intentions were to get the truth from him," he said.

Dlamini, who allegedly stole cow dung at the Royal Cattle Byre, is said to have failed to attend the meeting despite that he slept at his residence the previous night.

Dlamini was hauled before the elders at Ludzidzini Royal Residence together with his prophet, Bheki Dvuba, who allegedly advised him to steal the cow dung.

A verdict has not been passed on the matter but he was advised to pay five cattle as an apology to the King but [the cattle] were later rejected by the elders.

Jeez, how much dung did he steal?
